Terms of Service

Effective from 18 October 2026

These terms apply to the 3D printing, 3D scanning, reverse engineering, 3D modelling and technical drawing services provided by SIA “Leymz” (Reg. No. 40203705367, registered address: Enerģētiķu iela 3-108, Salaspils, Salaspils nov., LV-2121, email info@leymz.lv, phone +371 26849055). Where we have agreed otherwise in a quote or a written contract, that agreement prevails.

1. How an agreement is made

1.1. You send us a request via the website form, email, WhatsApp or Instagram and attach a file, photos, a sketch or a description. 1.2. We send you a quote stating the price, material, lead time and other essential terms. The quote is valid for 14 days unless it states a different period. 1.3. The agreement is concluded when you accept the quote in writing (by email or message) or make an advance payment. 1.4. If you want to change the file, material, quantity or lead time after accepting the quote, we will agree a new price and lead time with you.

2. Prices and payment

2.1. Prices are stated in euros including PVN (Latvian VAT). For companies, a quote may also state the price excluding PVN, in which case this is clearly marked. 2.2. Prices on the website are starting prices. The final price is stated in the quote and depends on size, material, quantity, complexity and accuracy requirements. 2.3. Orders from private individuals are carried out against an advance payment, the amount of which we agree in the quote. 2.4. Companies receive an invoice including PVN. The payment term and any prepayment required are agreed in the quote and stated on the invoice. If no payment term has been agreed, the invoice must be paid within 30 days of receipt. For late payment, we may claim late payment interest as provided by the Latvian Civil Law (Civillikums) and €40 compensation for recovery costs. 2.5. Manufactured parts and prepared files remain the property of SIA “Leymz” until paid for in full.

3. Lead times

3.1. We state the production lead time in the quote. Simple parts are usually made within 1–2 working days. 3.2. The lead time starts once we have received all the necessary information, files or sample and, where applicable, the advance payment. 3.3. If we cannot meet the lead time, we will inform you immediately and propose a new one.

4. Your files, samples and intellectual property

4.1. By sending us files, drawings or objects for scanning, you confirm that you have the right to use them and to order their production or copying, and that doing so does not infringe any third party’s copyright or rights in designs, patents or trade marks. 4.2. We do not check intellectual property rights. If a third party brings claims in connection with the materials you have provided, you are responsible for them. 4.3. We use your files and samples only to fulfil the order, do not share them with third parties and, on request, sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). 4.4. We take good care of samples you leave with us for scanning and return them together with the order. We are not liable for wear to samples caused by normal scanning, for example by scanning markers or coating, provided we have warned you about it in advance. 4.5. If we have agreed to hand over the file, then once it has been paid for in full you may use the 3D models and drawings we create without restriction, including modifying them and passing them to a manufacturer to make parts. If we have agreed that the model will be used only for printing in our workshop, we do not hand the file over to you. 4.6. We publish photos of finished parts on our website and Instagram only with your consent.

5. When we may decline an order

We may refuse to carry out an order or stop work on it if:

  • weapons, their parts or ammunition are ordered, or any items whose production or circulation is prohibited;
  • the order clearly infringes third-party intellectual property rights, for example counterfeit goods are ordered;
  • the part cannot be made to the required quality with the technologies available to us.

If, for any of these reasons, we stop work on an order that has already been paid for, we will refund the amount paid, minus the value of the work already done as agreed with you.

6. Accuracy, materials and use of parts

6.1. 3D printed parts typically show layer lines, slight colour variations and dimensional deviations that depend on the technology, material, and the size and shape of the part. These are not considered defects. 6.2. If dimensions, tolerances, fits or special requirements such as heat or chemical resistance are important for your part, please state them in your request. We agree on these requirements in the quote. 6.3. We recommend the technology and material, but the final decision on whether a part is suitable for your specific application is yours. Before using a part under load, we recommend testing it. 6.4. Our parts are not intended for use where their failure could endanger human life or health, for example in medicine, aviation, vehicle safety systems or pressure equipment, unless we have specifically agreed otherwise in writing. 6.5. Scanning accuracy (up to 0.04 mm) depends on the size, surface and shape of the object. Our measurements are not certified metrological measurements.

7. Collection and delivery

7.1. You can collect your finished order from our workshop in Riga, Lubānas iela 78, by arranging a time in advance, or we can send it to a parcel locker, by post or by courier. The delivery cost is stated in the quote. 7.2. If we ship the order, the risk of accidental loss of or damage to it passes to you when you or a person you have designated receive it. 7.3. If the order is not collected within 30 days of the notice that it is ready, we will send you a written reminder. If the order is not collected within 3 months of the notice that it is ready, we will send you a further written warning and may dispose of the manufactured parts no earlier than 14 days after that warning. We do not dispose of samples you left with us for scanning: we keep them until you collect them, and after 3 months we may ask you to pay a storage fee, the amount of which we will tell you in advance.

8. Acceptance and claims

8.1. Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. 8.2. Companies must notify us of visible defects or non-conformity with the quote within 7 days of receipt, with photos attached. 8.3. If a part does not conform to what was agreed in the quote, we will remake or repair it free of charge. If that is not possible, we will refund the amount paid or part of it. 8.4. We do not regard characteristics typical of the chosen technology and material (clause 6.1), or errors in the files or dimensions you provided, as a lack of conformity with the contract if we made the part exactly as specified in them. 8.5. We review every claim and reply in writing within 15 days of receiving it.

9. Consumer rights

9.1. If you are a consumer, you have all the rights provided by the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law (Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības likums), including the right to make a claim for lack of conformity with the contract within two years. These terms do not limit those rights. 9.2. If we conclude the contract at a distance (via the website form, email, messages or phone), you have the right to withdraw from it within 14 days without giving any reason. For service contracts, this period starts on the day the contract is concluded; for contracts for goods, on the day you or a person you have designated receive the goods. The right of withdrawal does not apply to parts and other goods that we make according to your files, dimensions or instructions, or that are clearly personalised, as these are goods made to the consumer’s specifications. For 3D models, scans and other services, see clause 9.3. 9.3. If you ask us to start providing a service, such as scanning or modelling, before the 14-day period ends, we will ask you to confirm this in writing (by email or message) and to acknowledge that you will lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided. If you withdraw from the contract after the work has started but before it is completed, you pay for the work already done on a pro rata basis. 9.4. To exercise the right of withdrawal, send us a clear statement to info@leymz.lv. You may use the model withdrawal form (we also link to it in quotes for consumers), but you do not have to. We will refund all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, no later than 14 days after receiving your statement, using the same means of payment unless we have agreed otherwise. If the service has already been partly provided at your request (clause 9.3), we reduce the refund by the value of the work done.

10. Limitation of liability

10.1. In dealings with companies, our total liability for any single order shall not exceed the price of that order. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as loss of profit or production downtime. 10.2. This limitation does not apply to losses caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence and does not limit consumer rights.

11. Dispute resolution

11.1. We first try to resolve any dispute through negotiation. Write to info@leymz.lv. We confirm receipt within 1 working day and review the claim within the period set out in clause 8.5. 11.2. Consumers may also contact Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centrs (the Consumer Rights Protection Centre of Latvia, www.ptac.gov.lv), including its Consumer Dispute Resolution Committee. 11.3. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. If you are a consumer living in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection given by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Disputes that cannot be resolved through negotiation shall be settled by the courts of the Republic of Latvia, unless consumer protection rules provide for a different court.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. An order is governed by the version of the terms in force on the day the quote was accepted.
